Referral Program Terms
These terms cover the SwimClips Meet referral program. By submitting a referral, you agree to them. Our Terms of Service also apply.
1. How it works
Introduce us to a facility or organization that hosts swim meets. If we go on to record a meet there, you earn 10% of Net Video Sales from that first meet.
Register the referral on our Refer a meet form.
Make a personal introduction between us and the meet director or facility contact, by email with us copied or on a call with us.
If they sign up and we record their first meet, we pay you your share.
2. Who can refer
You must be at least 18.
SwimClips employees and contractors can't take part.
You can't refer a facility, club or meet you own, run, work for or are paid by. Volunteer meet directors and officials can refer the meets they work.
No double dipping: if you already earn a share of that meet's sales from SwimClips, for example through a host or operator revenue share, you can't also earn a referral payment for it.
3. What counts as a referral
A referral is eligible when all of these are true:
The facility or organization isn't already a SwimClips customer, and we aren't already in contact with it.
You registered it on the form before we were in contact with it.
You made a personal introduction within 14 days of registering it, by email with us copied or on a call with us. Passing along a name or contact details without an introduction doesn't count.
They sign an agreement with SwimClips within 12 months of your referral.
If more than one person refers the same facility, the first eligible referral we receive gets the credit. We'll tell you within 10 business days whether we've accepted your referral. We decide eligibility in good faith, and our decision is final.
4. What you earn
You earn 10% of Net Video Sales from the first meet we record at the referred facility. Only the first meet counts; later meets don't earn a referral payment.
Net Video Sales means the amount customers pay for race videos and meet passes from that meet, minus refunds, chargebacks, sales and similar taxes, and payment processing fees. Voiceover add-ons aren't included.
We calculate your payment from sales made through 30 days after the meet.
5. Getting paid
We pay within 30 days after the end of the sales window, by check or bank transfer.
Before we pay, you'll need to give us a completed IRS Form W-9 (or the equivalent form outside the US). We may issue a Form 1099 where the law requires it.
You're responsible for any taxes on what you earn.
6. How you refer
Be honest about SwimClips. Don't promise prices, terms or results on our behalf.
Don't send spam or use misleading messages.
You aren't our employee, agent or partner, and you can't sign anything or make commitments for SwimClips.
We may refuse or cancel a payment for a referral that breaks these terms, or that we reasonably believe is fraudulent.
7. Changes and ending the program
We may change these terms or end the program at any time by updating this page. Referrals we accepted before a change keep the terms that applied when you registered them.
